Genuine Cloisonne
Each colored glass material is separated by thin metal walls
and is hand filled into the design. The lapel pin is baked at 1400 degrees. Then it is
ground and handpolished. The back finding is attached and the entire part is plated
goldtone or silvertone.

Soft Enamel
Colored liquid enamel is filled into the recesses of the metal
walls and baked at 450 degrees. The back finding is attached and the entire part is plated
goldtone or silvertone.

Silk Screening
A brass piece is die cut and each color is applied separately
through a mesh screen onto the metal piece. The epoxy dome is added and the back
finding is attached. For mylar, the colors are also applied separately but onto a
piece of film which is then adhered to the die cut brass piece. A thin lamination is added
and the back finding is attached. Both processes allow for very fine details.
